This is well below ISO 4406 (ASTMD975) cleanliness standards, reducing component wear as well as the life of fluid/oil itself.

We are the approved installers of the MANN+HUMMEL centrifugal oil filtration system. These centrifuges extend the life of your engine’s lubrication oil by nearly double. It removes high-density soot and other sub-micron particles by creating centrifugal forces 2,000 times greater than gravity. So, you not only have reduced wear and filter element consumption as a result of the cleaner oil, you also ensure immediate savings on lube oil costs. Today, they are fitted as standard on many modern engines. They are also offered as an approved option on many others, but they can be fitted to any engine, even older engines or those where they have not been approved by the engine builder. The centrifuge is located within the lube oil pressurised system. Up to 10% of the engine’s lube oil is passed through the centrifuge, which is operating all the time, cleaning the oil and then recycling the clean oil to the sump. The centrifuge uses the pressure in the system to rotate the bowl without the need for a separate pump, with the result that there are very few replacement parts. Consequently, running costs are very low. Suitable applications range from truck and bus engines to locomotive engines, power generation and marine engines.
