Congratulations to Lee Pino and Callum Appleby!

Double congratulations are in order at SLX Group as we recognise two well-deserved promotions within our Engineering Department.

Lee Pino has been appointed Engineering Director for SLX Group, joining the Board of Directors and taking on a broader role in the management and development of the business.

Lee joined Simplex Turbulo as a Service Engineer in March 2015 and from the outset he demonstrated a professional, polite and approachable attitude, consistently representing the company to the highest standards.

Following the retirement of his predecessor (Kevin McGill) in 2023, Lee stepped up to manage the team of Service Engineers, embracing the responsibility and continuing to develop the engineering department through new skills, additional product expertise and the high standards he brings to everything he does.

In his new role, Lee will take on further responsibility for developing non-marine engineering products and services, alongside leading the company’s marketing activities.

Callum Appleby has been promoted to Service Manager, taking over the role previously held by Lee.

Callum has been a valued Service Engineer at Simplex Turbulo since 2022 and has demonstrated his commitment to the team and the business.

His new responsibilities will include managing the field service engineering team, coordinating job schedules and calendars, and supporting the continued development of the team’s skills and capabilities.

Lee has indeed succeeded in getting together a strong, close-knit team of engineers who support each other and love meeting up. Completing the team and managing service quotes and orders is the capable and efficient Lorraine Darling-Hymers, who recently celebrated the impressive milestone of 20 years at Simplex Turbulo.

A huge well done to Lee and Callum on their promotions! We look forward to supporting them in their new roles and seeing what they achieve as they continue to contribute to the growth and success of SLX Group.
