Justin and Paul at Mapso’s 50th Anniversary in Egypt

Strong business cooperation is carrying on between SLX Group CEO Justin Brooking and ex-MD of Clements Engineering Paul Williams.

Last week Justin and Paul travelled to Egypt to attend the event celebrating the 50th anniversary of Mapso. 

Established shortly after the opening of the Suez Canal (1975), Mapso provides components, systems and services to shipyards and ship owners, including the Suez Canal Authority.

Clements Engineering has been consistently supporting Mapso with propulsion solutions for years, manufacturing stern-gear systems and developing a strong relationship based on mutual respect and repeated success.

The 50th anniversary party took place on Thursday 5th February, but around this event Mapso looked after its guest splendidly by including a visit to the newly opened Grand Egyptian Museum, a visit to the Pyramids in Giza, and a trip into the interior desert.

It was an honour to take part in Mapso’s celebrations for this impressive milestone!
