A week of engaging conversations and exotic treats with Sami Khan, VP of our regional office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Sami brought a Malaysian delicacy, the famous Melting Pineapple Tarts from Top Cookie in Kuala Lumpur – so popular that people queue for hours to grab a box and there’s a cap on how many can be bought!  These pastry rolls look like they should be a sweet treat, but the hint of salt in the soft crumbly pastry and the unsweetened pineapple jam make them a melt-in-your-mouth moreish morsel.

This week we had the pleasure of welcoming back to our Headquarters Sami Khan, the VP of Simplex (Asia Pacific) Sdn. Bhd., our KL-based regional office in Southeast Asia.  On the occasion of joining the celebrations of a family event in the UK, Sami extended his stay to visit our main office again.

Over the few days Sami spent with us he had meetings lined up with management about strategy and growth for our KL office and warehouse.  Sami also made time to sit down with everyone to catch up in person and engage in conversations that could delve deeper than with the usual email exchanges.  Plus, he spoiled us with an artisan-pizza lunch from a local restaurant to share a convivial moment in our spacious kitchen.

We are grateful for these moments when we can spend time in person with our colleagues overseas.
